IDBI Education Loan Interest Rates

IDBI Education loan interest rates may fluctuate as they are floating rates and subject to revision every quarte. These are linked to RLLR (Repo Rate Linked Lending Rate). Concession in interest rates is also provided to existing customers, girl children, minorities, and physically challenged applicants. Students must secure admission through the Entrance Test/ Merit Based Selection process after completion of HSC (10 plus 2 or equivalent).

  • Mark sheets from Class 10th onwards till the last qualifying examination

  • Offer Letter /Admission Letter from the University for the course
  • Schedule of expenses for the course 
  • Passport-size photographs 
  • Details of previous/existing loans, if any
  • Self-attested copy of VISA
  • Self-attested copies of travel documents, if borrower claims reimbursement of travel expenses.

How to Apply for an IDBI Education Loan?

IDBI Education loans can be easily applied through the Vidya Lakshmi Portal. The application process is completely online. Students must ensure that they keep the documents handy. Follow these simple steps to apply for IDBI loans quickly and without any hassle. 

  • Visit the Vidya Lakshmi Portal and enter your details like the account name, phone number, email ID, and password for the registration process.
  • Sign in to your account, click on the Loan Application Form button and you will be directed to a new screen.
  • Enter all the details like a source of finance, program cost, deals with banks, details of securities etc.
  • Provide the documents whatever is in the mandatory list. In addition, you may also post the necessary documents yourself, which would be a good idea to get approved elsewhere.
  • Submit the details and await a phone call from one of the representatives of the bank. The bank shall let you know within 30 days of receiving the form.
