Eligibility Criteria for E-Samaj Kalyan Gujarat Education Loan

e-samaj Kalyan Gujarat Education Loan is available for students belonging to backward classes and economically weaker sections. The eligibility criteria for education loans under this scheme have been laid down by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment as per the directions of the state government.   • The student must belong to the scheduled caste (SC), developing caste and economically weaker section (EWS). 
  • The student must be a resident of Gujarat and must have a domicile in the state of Gujarat.
  • The marks secured by the student in class 12 must be 60% or above.
  • The courses that are eligible under this scheme are undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD programs of technical and professional streams.
  • Admission to the university shall be secured on a merit-based entrance examination or interview (as per the university norms).
  • The government has allowed only two students from a family to apply for education loans under the e-samaj Kalyan scheme.
  • You can apply for an education loan before going abroad within 6 months after moving abroad for studies.

How to Apply for e-Samaj Kalyan Education Loan

E-Samaj Kalyan Gujarat Education Loan application process is completely online. You can submit your application on the official website of e-samaj Kalyan. Check the steps involved in the application process:

  • Visit the official website of Gujarat E-Samaj Kalyan Yojana
  • On the right side of the page, you will see the option ‘New user? Please Register Here
  • Click on the link and in the next screen, enter details like name, date of birth, UID number, caste and mobile number.
  • Carefully check the details entered by you and click on ‘Register’
  • After successful registration, select the foreign education loan scheme and apply.

After submitting the education loan application on the E-samaj Kalyan portal the verification process will start. All your details and the supporting documents will be checked and then the loan will be sanctioned. During this period the status will be updated on the official website of the E-Samaj Kalyan portal and students can check it regularly. Follow the steps mentioned below to track your education loan application:

  • Visit the official website of Gujarat E-Samaj Kalyan
  • Login with your username and password to access your profile 
  • On the next screen, you will see the option ‘Application Status’
  • Click on the application status and check if the loan has been approved

Documents Required for E-samaj Kalyan Gujarat Education Loan
